Free Thursday lunchtime concert series
Auckland City Libraries presents a lunchtime concert series that runs until the end of September. Details on this week’s upcoming event are:

Pianist William Green presents NZ piano music of the 1940s
William Green will be performing works by composers who were prominent in the 1940's such as Lilburn, Alfred Hill and Ronald Tremain.
William's compositions range from piano, choral and orchestral music to comic songs and poems. His lectures at Auckland University's Continuing Education department have included 'Composer Prodigies' and a Clara Schumann Centenary. His 'Three Glimpses' was included in the New Zealand flute album, 'Little Dancings' and he has recently taught music to dancers at the University's School of Creative and Performing Arts. William's latest composition project is an opera that will be performed by the Opera Factory.
When: Thursday lunchtime 4 May, from 12.10pm to 1pm
Where: Whare Wānanga, Heritage floor (level 2), at the Central City Library.
