Amplifier Newsletter #221 - 31 May 2006

Amplifier Newsletter #221 - 31 May 2006

Kia ora , So that was NZ Music Month for 2006. It’s going to be nice to wear clothes that aren’t black for a change. Then again every month is NZ Music Month at Amplifier so it won’t make much of a difference to us. Big shout outs to everyone at the NZMIC (especially Mikahl) who are the driving force behind Music Month every year. And we probably should also say thank you to the people at PC World magazine for naming us as one of their Website Heroes in the May edition.

There are new releases on the site this week from Blindspott, The Reduction Agents, Voom, The WBC, City Newton Bombers, Rhombus, Lawrence Arabia and The Bob Lazar Story. Goldenhorse have added their classic track Maybe Tomorrow for download and if that wasn’t enough there are new videos from Evermore, Rubicon and Frontline to watch. Tumeke!!

Ka kite ano.

The Reduction Agents - The Dance Reduction Agents

The Reduction Agents are an oddity in today's world of pop music: they play catchy songs but without resorting to clichéd lyrics and repetitive musical structures. The Dance Reduction Agents is a collection of rock songs in a classic vein. The album was played live and recorded in a set of rooms that adjoin The Lab Studio in Auckland. The Dance Reduction Agents album is the latest release from Lil' Chief Records.
