Heating Up The Stage At Bats

Heating Up The Stage At Bats

It isn't very often that BATS gets to quite unashamedly say that we have a modern classic opening this week that will really heat up the stage - but this week is THAT week.

John Osborne's angry young man play that put the kitchen sink drama on the map, Look Back in Anger is here, directed by Miranda Harcourt and starring Mia Blake (Bash, The Women, The Holy Sinner), Lucy Wigmore (The Women), Louis Sutherland (Insiders' Guide to Love) and Aaron Alexander (Romeo & Juliet, The Improvisors).

Two words - star studded. Oh yes indeedy its gonna be a cracker...

We can't wait to take your bookings for this week, and for next week's opener, Lovepuke by Duncan Sarkies and directed by Lyndee Jan Rutherford. - a very funny play, with very funny sexy people in it.

Look! Book in Anger... - to book for any performance at BATS email book@bats.co.nz with your name, the show, date and number of tickets. We will reply to confirm your booking and you can pay when you come to the show. Choice!

BATS Theatre staged an incarnation of Look Back in Anger way back in 1978, back when BATS was run as an amateur touring company. Unity Theatre did it too, in 1959, but this year's incarnation is the first professional production in Wellington. Woo hoo!
