Two weeks of specials guests, shows and parties featuring the old and the new. Feel free to send Bodega anecdotes for me to write into upcoming newsletters and record for posterity.

World Battle of the Bands - NZ Winner to Hong Kong World Final
The heats begin August 2 - It is not too late to enter. A wide range of styles from hip hop to funk, progressive rock, metal and punk. A fantastic way to make long term relationships with other bands in Wellington and NZ. Entry is $50.

Kodak Music Clip Awards - Saturday 15th July - 8pm
The Wellington Fringe Film Festival culminates in the Kodak Music Clip Awards with clips from nearly 100 New Zealand music videos from artists such as Nesian Mystik; Phoenix Foundation; King Kapisi; Recloose; Katchafire; Sola Rosa and The Bleeders on the Big Screen. Judges included Costa Botes (the making of The Lord of the Rings); Richard Bluck (2nd unit DOP on King Kong); Adam Clarke DOP on Taika Waititi's Oscar-nominated short, Two Cars, One Night) and animator Euan Frizzel.

My Space Wednesday - Sponsorship Plan
Bodega has supported original music for 15 years. We do as much as much as possible to get new bands on stage including introducing and matching them with established acts, workshops on stagecraft, promotion ideas etc etc etc but need a little help advertising to the wider public.

$200 ensures your brand/logo is printed on 150 posters, naming rights for the show, one dozen pints of Tuatara, 12 double passes, newsletter recognition (4600 adresses) and a MySpace bulletin (8000 subscribers). Contact Tane for more details.

Vinyl Night - Monday - 8pm
I know what you're thinking......but......I am talking about RECORDS. Every Monday night from 8pm you can bring along the music that you haven't play for years REALLY LOUDLY! A group of friends makes for a really pleasant night.

Enter the CBD..... Chess, Backgammon and Dominos (& Poker) - Sunday 23 July - 6pm
Bring some friends along to enjoy board games. We have a limited number so recommend bringing your own.
