The Best of the Best Exhibition

The best of the BeST in New Zealand Graphic, Interior and Product design will be on display this Thursday in an exhibition showcasing the finalists of the highly anticipated 2006 BeST Design Awards.

While the winners of the highly coveted awards will not be announced until Friday, August 25, it is expected that the exhibition will be rife with anticipation as some of New Zealand’s finest designers contemplate who among them will win Highly Commended, Best of Category and the prestigious Stringer or supreme Awards.

The BeST Design Awards is the annual awards programme presented by the Designers’ Institute of New Zealand (DINZ) to showcase and celebrate the best work during the past year from designers around New Zealand in Graphic, Interior and Product design disciplines.

The BeST Design Awards Exhibition 2006 will be opened officially at an invitation only function at AUT in Auckland next Thursday, August 24, before it travels to Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin. Members of the public will be able to visit the Auckland exhibition from Thursday, August 17, until Saturday, September 2.

Dulux, the largest manufacturer of quality paint products in New Zealand, is launching its support for the New Zealand design industry by sponsoring the inaugural Dulux BeST Design Awards Exhibition, which will travel from Auckland to Wellington (September), Christchurch (October) and Dunedin (November).
