Triangle Television Wellington Now Part Of Life In The Capital

Triangle Television Wellington has commenced broadcasting a regular schedule of programmes to the Greater Wellington region.

Triangle Television Chief Executive Officer Jim Blackman says Triangle Television, New Zealand's largest privately owned free-to-air television broadcaster, is now bringing quality programmes via regional television to the Greater Wellington area.

"We know the programmes in our first week won't disappoint viewers – and we also know there's an audience who have been waiting for this," says Jim Blackman.

"It's taken us two years of solid hard work, but it has been worth every minute. The response from so many different sectors of the city has been fantastic from the outset and has given us so much added incentive. This is an incredibly exciting time for us."

There may be minor disruptions over the next few weeks as Triangle Television Wellington makes incremental adjustments to ensure Wellington viewers have the best possible reception and programming.

The schedule commenced on Friday, August 25 and local programmes will go to air within the next few weeks. The Wellington line-up will include both local and international programmes, covering topics as diverse as international news, science and sport, the arts and business.
