MEDIA RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
20 September 2006
Garfield Treats for Kids at Sky Tower for September School Holidays

Sky Tower, in conjunction with Twentieth Century Fox film distributors, is putting on a September school holiday fun programme that celebrates Garfield’s new movie Garfield 2, which opens at SKYCITY Cinemas this month.

All children who visit the Sky Tower during the promotional period will be given the royal treatment just as Garfield does in his new movie; Garfield, the world’s favourite wise-cracking cat, stows away in his master Jon’s suitcase on a trip to London to propose to Liz, his veterinarian girlfriend. In a classic comedy of mistaken identity, Garfield switches places with a royal cat, Prince, and inherits an English castle complete with all its inhabitants, including the dastardly Lord Dargis, who hatches a devious plot to steal the grand estate. In the grand estate Garfield calls home, he makes sure he receives all the royal treatment he can get his hands on!

During Sky Tower’s September school holiday promotion, every Sky Tower child standard admission ticket sold will receive a Garfield 2 goody bag to take home with them including a SKYCITY Cinemas child movie ticket*(conditions apply).

A Garfield 2 mini cooper vehicle will be on display outside the main entrance to SKYCITY on Monday 25 September and Monday 2 October from 10am to 4pm. Children will have the opportunity to have their photo taken in or around the vehicle on those dates.
