There must be something about clothing from Trelise Cooper Kids - because from when the first models emerged (a pair of three year old blonde twins) until the last one stumbled terrified along the catwalk, there wasn't one person in the thousand strong audience that didn't let an 'Awww.' slip out.
Perhaps it was the fact that they braved the catwalk in twos, holding hands, sporting tiaras and teased bangs. Maybe it was the retro Apple or Tea-and-Toast prints, one dress even featured a sewn-on gingham apron. It could have been the tutu sprays that peeked from under skirts in vibrant red and muted nude. I know the ballet cardigans, striped leggings and mini converse shoes did it for the audience around me.
But where does that leave the stretchy sequin belts, giant buttons, gingham and denim detailing. the velvet coats and skirts with giant dots and bows, the printed bubble skirts with tie backs? I will tell you where - on the child I am going to try and get pregnant with immediately so the 'Awws.' will be directed at a child of mine.
