The Undercurrents and Gasoline Cowboy in Wgtn

Wake up Wellington 'cause here comes the good stuff from South and North....

The Undercurrents(Chch) and Gasoline Cowboy(Auck) + Guests(Well)
at
Bodega
on
Saturday 7th of October

Oy yeh you belly lucky, Wellington.

Gasoline Cowboy are a 3 piece country pop trio who have been blazing trails up and down the rock for the past few years - Lasso-ing Shelia’s, wielding Black Eyed Susans, raising hell and all the while just dripping with the perfectest songs you wished you could of died and wrote yourself. Crikey, they're incredible musicians and songwriters and a sure bet to take over the world any day now.

What The Undercurrents lack in technique they make up on the spot - the hardest working band in all of Phillipstown, Christchurch they've been compared by one influential Wellington taste-maker and early-adopter to Metallica crossed with the Pogues. Swaying dangerously from artrok meditations at volume to faux country and good old kiwi doo-wop harmony pop ‘til you drop in between they'll leave no hair un-razed. Bring a disprin and a pillow.

Gasoline Cowboy are: Jol– guitar/vocals Scott– drums/vocals Greg– bass
