BP Ultimate Joins Forces With Silver Fern Rally

Organisers of the week long NZ Silver Fern International Marathon Car Rally are pleased to announce that BP Ultimate have become one of their sponsors for the October 7th -14th event.

BP Oil NZ Ltd’s Fuels Manager, Todd Maddock said at the announcement “As part of the BP sponsorship I am also pleased to be able to offer $3000 in Fuel Vouchers as prizes to be distributed to officials, contestants and supporters. Fuel purchase receipts will need to be placed in the box at one of the Scenic Circle rally headquarters sites, to go into the six nightly draws of five $100.00 vouchers.”

As part of the sponsorship deal, the event’s rally programmes complete with maps, will be available at selected South Island BP outlets around the route. They can also be bought from Ford Dealers NZ wide, and South Island Beaurepaires Stores.

Organisers have welcomed BP’s sponsorship to their portfolio and say it shows the fuel industry is supportive of the event. “This acknowledges that one of the greatest testing grounds for cars is motorsport and the competitors will certainly be driving them hard in all conditions during this event” Rally Chairman Gary Smith said.

The NZ Silver Fern Rally will start from the Picton waterfront, at midday on Saturday October 7th, with overnight stops in Greymouth, Queenstown, Dunedin and Christchurch before returning via Nelson to the finish in Blenheim on October 14th.
