Rotorua Ticket Wins $1 Million on Lotto First Division
A Rotorua Lotto player who purchased their ticket at The Lucky Lottery Shop Rotorua has won $1 million on Lotto First Division tonight, NZ Lotteries Chief Executive Todd McLeay said.
Due to technical difficulties the 8pm draw was unable to be aired live.
The draw was held off air once the technical fault was resolved, under the scrutiny of Audit New Zealand. The 9pm results were broadcast as per usual.
Lotto Powerball has jackpotted to $5 million in next week's draw. Strike was also not won this weekend, and is worth $200,000 in next week's draw.
Tonight's other big winner was Menime Molioo, a grandmother of seven from Christchurch, who spun and won $150,000 live on Lotto's Winning Wheel.
All Lotto players are automatically in the draw to win the opportunity to spin Lotto's Winning Wheel, regardless of the type of ticket they buy. Players can check their ticket at any lottery outlet.
Tonight's Winning Wheel ticket was sold by Lyttelton Supervalue in Christchurch. The serial number is 397-25242162-20XX.
