New Mornings Host - RDU98.5FM announces the arrival of Kate Gorgeous.

When RDU98.5FM began the search for a new breakfast host, no one was under the illusion it would be an easy task. After all, we only needed an informed, intelligent and take-no-crap personality to continue the tradition of groundbreaking independent radio RDU is now synonymous with.

And we found her.

“We’re very excited about what Kate will bring to breakfast on RDU” commented Andrew ‘Hat’ Meier, RDU’s Station Manager. “She has the background and journalistic skills to make vibrant morning radio.”

With a grounding in the arts, music, theatre, drama and politics, Kate will build upon the reputation of RDU breakfast for cultural commentary, satirical insight, and media analysis and will relish RDU’s existing affinity for independent music.

“I was seduced, pure and simple. RDU is hot property, intelligent, fun, stylish, funky, and generally onto it,” says Kate. “Once you start dreaming about all the things you can do with a breakfast show that’s on a great radio station, it’s hard to pass it by as anything less than a fantastic opportunity to create great radio and have a lot of fun doing it."
