NZLive.com Scoops TUANZ Business Internet Award
The Ministry for Culture and Heritage's new interactive web site NZlive.com posted an early success last night when it won the information category of the TUANZ Business Internet Awards.
The awards recognise web
managers, developers and designers across the country.
Launched in September, NZLive.com was developed by
3Months.com and Flightless.
Web developer Shift was also
a finalist in this category for its work on another MCH
website, Te Ara: the digital Encyclopedia of New Zealand.
The winners were announced at a cocktail function at the Renouf Foyer, Michael Fowler Centre, Wellington on Tuesday 21 November.
MCH Chief Executive Martin Matthews said the award was a great accolade for NZLive.com and proof that it was a cutting edge site on track for continuing success.
"With more than 1000 current events on the site at all times, NZlive.com is already providing a valuable service to the cultural sector.
"It is clear that our innovative approach to; sharing and receiving content via free RSS feeds and open interfaces found favour with the judges. Importantly, we are also delivering a great user experience."
Martin Matthews pointed out that though NZLive.com was only launched in September, it had already received over 23,000 visits this month.
"Unfortunately there can only be one winner, but MCH is equally proud of the fact that it had two finalists in the category."
