Accused #1: Nelson Mandela (International Doco) – Tuesday January 30 at 8.30 PM
In June 1964, Nelson Mandela and six others were sentenced to life imprisonment for planning to overthrow South Africa’s Apartheid system by military means. Using original footage plus exclusive interviews with Mandela and his fellow ex-prisoners, this documentary recounts the untold story of the notorious Rivonia Trial.

The search by Kingmaker Wiremu Tamehana for a paramount chief to lead all Maoridom and the bloody1863 invasion of the Waikato by colonialist forces are brought to life in this fascinating documentary-drama, created from the eye witness accounts of a Ngati Haua chief.

2007 National Waka Ama Club Sprint Champs – Sunday February 4 at 2.00 PM
The paddles are out for the final races from the National Waka Ama Club Sprint Championships, held at Lake Karapiro in the Waikato. Fast, fun and exciting, this sport attracts 2,300 competitors, all determined to make a splash!

September 11 (Sunday Feature) – Sunday February 4 at 9.00 PM
Eleven well-known international moviemakers were asked to create a short film reflecting on 9/11. They had one instruction – it had to be11 minutes, nine seconds and one frame in length. The results, brought together in one feature film, range from moving and poignant to heart-wrenching and shocking. Famously accused of anti-Americanism, the movie was also commended by some media for showing different perspectives of one event.
