Girl Rockers Invade Wellington & Auckland!
GIRLS! GIRLS! GIRLS! is the third in a series of highly successful rock and roll gigs featuring music written and performed by girls! In the time-honoured tradition of Suzi Quatro, Joan Jett, and The Supremes, these Kiwi chicks are preparing to ROCK OUT!
The third and biggest GIRLS! GIRLS! GIRLS! will be held in both Auckland and Wellington.

…and The Pirate City Rollers, the all-girl Roller Derby! ($15)
WELLINGTON

Featuring: Jonnie Rose, The Wrongdoings, Cherry‘s Gemstones & DJ Netti Page. ($10)
Previous gigs have included motorbikes, glitter canons, smoke machines and go-go dancers!
The GIRLS! GIRLS! GIRLS! tour will be even more amazing! 100 goodie bags will be given away at each gig, and Auckland audiences can look forward to the antics of The Pirate City Rollers!
We can’t let boys have all the fun!
Girl rockers ruled the roost in the 80s, but these days sweet singer-songwriters are hogging the airwaves! But too much sugar makes you sick! Where have all the girl rockers gone?
They’ve gone underground! Scratch the surface of the local scene and for every Deja Voodoo there’s a Foamy Ed, for every ElemenoP there’s a Jonnie Rose, and for every Blindspott there’s Cherry‘s Gemstones.
Come to GIRLS! GIRLS! GIRLS!, and find out for yourself how flourishing the girl rock scene really is.
Joyrider revs up for 2007
Joyrider began when Jonnie Rose bass player, Kathryn van Beek, realised that there are a lot of great bands out there who slip through the cracks of the industry. Kathryn decided to put on high-profile, well-publicised, no-budget gigs for these bands. Joyrider’s ‘Tsunami Rock’ gig (headlining The D4) raised $4000 for the Red Cross, and Kathryn has gone on to produce other events such as ‘Psychedelic Freakout’ with Rock and Roll Machine.
