MEDIA RELEASE

19 January 2007

Elemeno P jam in the park

New Zealand rock group Elemeno P will headline The Edge Jam in the Park concert on Auckland Anniversary Day, Monday, 29 January at Tahaki Reserve, Mt Eden.

The huge anniversary weekend concert features an awesome line up of live Kiwi music including pop/rock group Fast Crew and pop/punk group 48May.

The Edge Jam in the Park is one of Auckland City’s free Music in Parks concerts taking place throughout summer. The concert runs from 2pm to 6pm in Tahaki Reserve and is expected to attract a great crowd.

Elemeno P will take the stage by storm with their upbeat, rockin’ style and great guitar powered pop/rock sound. The group have toured with Steriogram and Deja Voodoo and worked with renowned US punk producer Sal Villaneuva. Their set will feature some of the uniquely Kiwi songs which have helped the group skyrocket to national popularity.

Fast Crew were launched in 1999 and have since built a following through countless shows and tour of New Zealand and Australia. The group have supported major international artists including Missy Elliot, Busta Rhymes, Black Eyed Peas, D12, Chingy and DMX. They are working on a new album due to be released later this year and have been developing a new pop sound sure to get the crowd moving.

48May are a group with an eclectic background. Each member of the group hails from a different former band which gives 48May a unique and exciting edge. Described as “Sum 41 meets Foo Fighters - with a hint of Def Leppard”, 48May's feel-good music is filled with dynamic guitar hooks, driving grooves and infectiously catchy harmonies that will get everyone rocking along.
