Big Weekend Pay Out for Lotto First Division Wins

Big Weekend Pay Out for Lotto First Division Winners in Waitakere, Papakura, Papatoetoe and Balclutha

The Big Day Out has been followed by a Big Weekend Payout for four lucky Lotto players after they won $250,000 each on Lotto First Division, says NZ Lotteries Chief Executive, Todd McLeay.

The winning tickets were purchased at Edmonton Stationery and Lotto in Waitakere, Keri Hill Superette in Papakura, Schofields Paper Power in Papatoetoe, and Ryder's Paper Plus in Balclutha.

"What a great weekend for our winners who can enjoy the end of the summer holidays with some extra cash," says Mr McLeay.

Lotto Powerball has also jackpotted tonight to an estimated $6 million in next week's draw.

Lotto Strike jackpotted tonight and is worth an estimated $200,000 next weekend.

Tonight's big winner was Alma Campbell from Hamilton, who won a Mercedes CLK320 live on Lotto's Winning Wheel. Alma and her partner John, enjoyed a luxury weekend in Wellington staying at the Duxton Hotel, a shopping trip with a stylist for an outfit to wear on the show, and lunch with Lotto presenter Hilary Timmins, leading up to the winning spin.

Tonight's Winning Wheel ticket was sold by Countdown in Ashburton. The serial number is 500-42129670-20XX. The winning ticket, purchased on 11 January, is part of a multi-draw ticket valid for last week's and this week's draw.

All Lotto players are automatically in the draw to win the opportunity to spin Lotto's Winning Wheel, regardless of the type of ticket they buy. Players can check their ticket at any lottery outlet.

"Anyone who bought their ticket from any of these winning stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any NZ Lotteries outlet," Mr McLeay says.
