Twilight Mountain Biking at Coronet Peak

Press Release from Coronet Peak 1 February 2007

Twilight Mountain Biking at Coronet Peak

Popular demand from mountain bikers keen to ride on the hill later in the afternoon and into the evening has led to the introduction of a Twilight Pass at Coronet Peak.

The new multi-pass is on offer at $15 an adult and $10 for youth and is available on weeknights only (Monday to Friday) from next Wednesday, February 7.

The Twilight Pass offers lift served access to the downhill track, the downhill X-country track, the summer road for complete novices and the mini park between 4pm and 7pm each weeknight.

Sales and Marketing Manager David Ovendale said the mountain bike park at Coronet Peak was proving popular.

“There are options for all level of rider as well as for those who want to learn new skills or hone existing ones on the jumps, berms and see-saws in the minipark. It’s a great atmosphere with people chilling out in the sun on the deck and playing chess on the giant chessboard in between riding sessions.”

The Twilight Pass offers late afternoon sessions for enthusiasts who don’t have a full day to ride and also an option for people who want to ride after work or school during the week.

“Our customers have made it clear there is a demand for the pass, so we are delivering,” said Mr Ovendale.

There is a limited range of adult rental bikes on the mountain available through Outside Sports and The Coronet Brasserie is open serving food and wine/beer.
