Great Comedy Is One Risky Business

RISKY BUSINESS

In the hilarious styles of the TV show "Whose Line Is It Anyway?", the artists best known for their excellence in live Comedy Improv kick off their 2007 season of RISKY BUISNESS upstairs at THE DRAKE on Thursday the 1st of March.

Long established experts in improv style comedy -Con Artists have developed RISKY BUSINESS to deliver an 80 minute roller coaster ride of great comedy drawing on the skills of some of NZ’s leading talents in the comedy industry. The demands placed on the company’s lightning quick minds may have them, over the course of the show, singing a love song as Helen Clark, showing an entire book like "The Da Vinci Code" in a minute or playing back the story of someone's day from the audience - but as a Western Movie - and all made up on the spot. This is often the most topical satire you can get blended with personal comedy.

Over the last 20 years ConArtists has been a part many successful well known careers such as Oliver Driver, Craig Parker, Kevin Smith, Cal Wilson, Jeremy Corbett, Jay Laga'aia , Mark Wright, and many more while a few talented actors have made ConArtists their full time employment.

ConArtists experienced ensemble return home to the DRAKE which has a long association with NZ comedy dating back to the days of Kitty O’Brien’s in the early 90’s? – Auckland’s first live comedy venue.

RISKY BUSINESS is only one of the feathers in the comedy bow of ConArtists who offer three areas of entertainment – Corporate, Youth Programme and live Improv Comedy – all of which they are highly experienced and successful in their achievements.
