Powerhouse Anaham Rocks with New Zealand Tour.

The high octane four piece Mapua based Rock band Anaham are playing their 5th gig at Bar Bodgea on a New Zealand tour during the next three months. At the same time promoting their new EP “Adrift” Anaham play Bar Bodgea Wellington on Thursday 1st March

Anaham are always excited to be playing at Bodega for the first time and plan to do what they love gig it heaps in the Captial.

Early shows on the tour have been really fantasic with huge support and packed venues its been great, we love people are really into our music, said the drummer Leigh Sutherland.

“Adrift” was recorded by Anaham in sessions in November at New Zealand’s premier music recording studios, York St Studios in Auckland . That process was filmed by a music TV show and C4.
Following recording and engineering Adrift, renowned producer Clint Murphy has worked with the music again, mastering it in a major studio New York just last week.

While on tour the band plays 5 gigs in Auckland in March and XSTV will be filming Anaham live in concert for their TV show, they are very keen to film us and always excited by our music said guitarist Judd Robertson .
The Adrift EP will be out and it is hoped it will get airplay here and to a much wider audience and overseas.

There is such a lot of interest in Anaham and their music with people contacting the band every week asking when they are playing next, when the next songs will be out , people wanting to pay in advance to get an early copies of the EP.

Its all great stuff for this band of close friends who will tell you it has not always been easy or simple to be in a rock band , but they have been committed and worked very hard to be the the best musicians and performers that they can be and it shows.

Anaham have supported and played with many of New Zealands big rock acts over the last few years including Blindspott, Elemeno p ,Good Night Nurse, Take the Willing etc,however after the touring is completed by June Anaham are on the move to Australia.

They hope to spend some time playing and setting some foundations for the bands future development over their.

As one of the tour venues said when they heard of the Australian move ,” bring it on Anaham!!”.

That’s what they plan to do starting right here in Wellington at Bodega .

Managers Pete and Clare Jones of Kisarma Promotions first saw the Anaham play 3 years ago and were absolutely blown away by their music and talent and writing .A year ago the opportunity arose and the have become Anaham's management.Pete Jones said we grapped it with both hands, some things are meant to be.

Jones said I never get sick of watching and listening to their music. I have seen many many of the great bands in England where Clare and I grew up , we are hugely interested in Music. .Anaham have got it thats for sure. They are are an great band and great to work with.

Brief Bio Anaham


This Nelson based band produce a high Octane rock sound that is hard edged whilst remaining musically and lyrically strong.No strangers to the music scene the band have played together for 14 years since they were nine years old .Their profile has gained a lot of momentum in the last 18 months as the new rock group Anaham .With a 5 star review from rip it up’ magazine for their first album, a slot at last years big day out and more recently support gigs for NZ rock megas such as ‘Blindspott’ and Elemeno P”.and packed gigs Anaham are on the move touring to promote the latest work a new EP called "ADRIFT".

Anaham returned to York street Studio to record Adrift’ late in 2006, where XSTV filmed a second Anaham show. The recording was then sent to the USA to be mastered by Sterling, New York. Armed with a bigger and better sound than before, Anaham are now to hitting the road in their own right and start a Nationwide tour to promote their new recording.

ANAHAM Nelson based original rock band is about to undertake a tour of New Zealand
through feb/march/april
Recently we have performed shows our own great shows and well as with Elemeno p, Blindspot, Goodnight Nurse, Take the Willing,King Kapisi, and many others.
Many Festivals including Nelson new years event the "Cusp" two years running , The summer Nationals, and last years "Big Day Out" as well as our own shows throughout the south island.
