Hi-5 Action Heros Heading To NZ

Children's champions Hi-5 announced today they will tour New Zealand in April with their all-new action-packed show, Hi-5 Live Action Heroes.

This super-dynamic, highly interactive stage show celebrates being strong and active, taking the children on a 70-minute fun-filled
yet educational superhero adventure.

Fresh from touring the United Kingdom and Singapore, Hi-5 heroes, Nathan Foley, Charli Delaney, Tim Harding, Kellie Hoggart and newest member of the team Sun Park, will entertain and delight New Zealand's own little action heroes, promoting the message that everyone can be a hero! The show will feature some of the best-loved Hi-5 songs and music.

Nathan will be running and jumping as he tries out his superhero ˜Belt of Power, Charli will be doing a superhero workout, while children will be able to do some super hip hop dancing with Sun. Kellie will be riding a roller coaster with Chats, and Tim will be revving up his racing car. No show would be complete without cheeky puppets Jup Jup and Chatterbox who will be all part of the hero action.

Tim Harding from Hi-5 said, “We love touring. It’s always so much fun to meet our Kiwi fans, to sing and dance with them and see them smiling.”

Hi-5’s newest member Sun Park said, “I am so excited about the Hi-5 Live Action Heroes tour. I’m really looking forward to touring New Zealand and meeting all the lovely Hi-5 fans.”

The Hi-5 Live Action Heroes tour will spring into action at the Civic Theatre in Auckland on April 11 before heading Hamilton, Palmerston North, Hastings, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin and finishing in Invercargill. This brand new show is the ultimate in audience participation. Hi-5 Live Action Heroes is a fun, interactive show making it cool to learn as kids sing and dance along with Hi-5.

Helena Harris, Creator and Executive Producer of Hi-5 said, “Following the success of the sell out Hi-5 Space Magic tour in 2006 there has been a huge demand from parents and children for Hi-5 to tour New Zealand again this year. Our latest show, Hi-5 Live Action Heroes is staged as a full concert with extraordinary effects and lighting that will delight children and adults.” Ms. Harris added, “The show is also full of music, fantastic songs, storytelling and lots of dancing and fun. When it comes to entertainment for children, Hi-5 is hard to beat.”

Hi-5 is a cutting-edge entertainment concept for today’s media-literate children aged between 2-8 years old. It’s a vibrant mix of stories, investigation, imagination and adventure, inviting children to actively share the excitement of exploring the world through movement, lots of catchy music and laughter. In the positive and friendly environment, learning is playful, fun and always inclusive. Hi-5 encourages children to develop their own potential and take a joyous and active part in life.
