Dragon Is Back
Dragon Is Back
Dragon -- the quintessential 70s rock band -- is set to breath fire in New Zealand again with Mark Williams as the new lead singer.
With hits including April Sun in Cuba, Still In Love, Rain, Are You Old Enough and Speak No Evil, Dragon promises a concert not to be missed when they perform in Hamilton, Tauranga, Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland during April.
Rocker Kevin Borich also returns to his home country after years of performing in Australia to open the DRAGON gigs in Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch.
Tickets go on sale on Saturday, March 3.
Pacific Entertainment director Ian Magan says it's a privilege to be hosting a band with such history.
"They represent everything we loved about rock in that era. It was pure. What you saw is what you got, and now with the inspired addition of another great Kiwi icon entertainer, MARK WILLIAMS, the band has it all!" says Magan.

DRAGON --
THE LIVING LEGEND
Since 1973 there have been many
different versions of the band DRAGON and 2007 brings a new
chapter to the Dragon story with New Zealand-born Mark
Williams at the helm, filling the big shoes of original Marc
Hunter who tragically died of throat cancer.
Having
grown up in New Zealand's Northland, Williams had hits
including Yesterday was just the Beginning of my Life and
Show No Mercy and has recently been working on Australian
Idol, Popstars and with the band Bardot.
He is
joined on this homecoming tour by Todd Hunter, Bruce Reid
and Pete Drummond.
Songs like Sunshine, Still In Love, April Sun, Are you Old Enough, Speak No Evil and Rain, shine in this setting. Their set features songs that are part of the fabric of Australasian life.
THE KEVIN BORICH SHOW
With 40 years of performing experience Kevin
Has honed his craft into one of the most exciting guitar
based shows in Australia.
Born in NZ , Kevin was a
foundation member of the Legendary La-De-Da's who had major
chart success on NZ radio in the 60s before moving to
Australia.
Now, with his trio, the show starts with
acoustic roots blues styles, on his 1930 national Steel
slide guitar , covering many feels and tempos , escalating
into intense ,excitingly powerful electric "Bluserockfunkin"
furture-isms, which has crowds letting their spirits free
and wanting more.
Kevin;
" I'm really excited about
coming back to play on these shows with Dragon, It's been a
long time since I've performed back home and I'd like to do
it more often".
