Award winning New Zealand director Valerie Reid has scooped another international award with her short documentary 'Sand Dancer' winning Best Documentary at its very first USA screening at The Foursite Film Festival in Utah USA - March 2007. Foursite ran for 5 days with audiences of 800 per screening. . The film was screened by invitation.
'Sand Dancer' has also been selected to screen
at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival - New York, USA.
Tribeca was established by Robert De
Niro.. Morgan
Freeman and Penelope Cruz were in attendance last
year.
Past winners include Oscar winner Director Martin

Over 4700 films are submitted from which 200 are selected to screen. 'Sand Dancer' is the only NZ short film to be accepted.
