Onefest Series Part Deux – Little Bushman
Onefest Series Part Deux – Little Bushman –
Sat 5th May
Your second stupendous FREE night out on the town thanks to us.
Onefest Series Part Deux is fast approaching & ready to explode in a multi-colored haze of psychedelic smoke & frenzied musical mutation. Let us introduce to you, performing for the first time in Dunedin - LITTLE BUSHMAN.
When TRINITY ROOTS disbanded the group’s singer/ chief songwriter Warren Maxwell assembled LITTLE BUSHMAN with fellow Wellingtonians Rick Cranson, and Tom and Joe Callwood. It’s a whole new bowl of lollies. Maxwell & co carry over Trinity Roots' deeply spiritual vibe, but take it into far rockier, bluesier terrain. Little Bushman’s sound draws on the outlandish electric innovations of late 60’s rock and jazz psychedelia.
Think the divine psych-electro forays of Hendrix, Cream & Billy TK splashed with genre defying expansiveness in the vein of Miles Davis circa Bitches Brew, magically teleported into the 21st century. Come explore the sonic mountains and valleys with us. Local roots-reggae exponents The IRIE EYES will be there to set the flame in your soul alight. Embrace the voodoo & be sure to have your trusty ANZ Onecard – the amulet of music love - handy. She’s going to get you into the festivities FOR FREE!!! Ka-ching.
