LAUGHING IS PARAMOUNT THIS FESTIVAL SEASON

The mighty Paramount theatre raises the curtain on the glitterati event of the Wellington comedy festival on Tuesday 8 May for the opening night extravaganza – FIRST LAUGHS.

Winner of the 2004 Billy T Award and celebrated Wellington comedian Ben Hurley, returns home from the UK to host this star-studded showcase which offers audiences a chance to check out the very best on offer in the upcoming 3 weeks of Festival madness. This year’s lineup includes Dai Henwood, Steve Wrigley, Brendhan Lovegrove and more.

Selling out in 2006, FIRST LAUGHS returns to the capital city to a bigger venue to accommodate the swelling demands of comedy hungry audiences. Whilst the Paramount is certain to feed more of the lust for laughs, only a limited number of tickets will be released for public sale – so don’t wait to catch the giggle and book ahead for this exclusive showcase of exceptional comedy.
