Something From Nothing
Like magicians pulling rabbits from hats, artists can appear to have magical powers as they pull pieces of art from their minds.
On a quest to explore this creative process, writer/musician Gareth Shute interviewed some of New Zealand’s leading young artists for his latest book, Insights: New Zealand Artists Talk About Creativity.
The New Zealand Book Council is bringing Gareth to Wellington to discuss creativity and what it means to be an artist in New Zealand, with photographer, Ans Westra; writer/performer, Jo Randerson; and painter, Jason Secto.
Join them on Wednesday 20 June, at the National Library Auditorium, Thorndon, from 6pm-7pm.
Tickets are available from www.bookcouncil.org.nz or call 499 1569
