Truly a night of great music in lovely surroundings –this is a night not to be missed!

Hot Club Sandwich is a Wellington-based trio who play a repertoire of jazz, blues, country swing standards and original songs in an energetic, entertaining and captivating live show that grabs an audience by the funny bone and doesn’t let up.

They have released six CDs since 2001. 2004’s “Toasted” won a rare four-star review in Downbeat USA magazine, the world’s longest-standing and most widely-read jazz publication. The band is touring to support the release of their 6th CD entitled “Café Matrix”.

“A trio of truly professional musicians who deliver what they promise."

Philip Tremewan, Festival Director: Tauranga Arts Festival, Wanaka Festival of Colour, Lake Taupo Arts Festival.

“Warmly appealing …. with eccentric edges….having the time of their lives getting a handle on bluegrass, country blues, jug band, pop-folk, vaudeville music, and jazz á là Quintette du Hot Club de France, then adding devilishly clever wordplay for an old-time music of their own”

Delgirl are a local 3 piece acoustic group who do as much avoiding of definition as they can. Double Bass, Guitar, Percussion, Trumpet and Ukuele all get a look–in accompanied by 3 of the sweetest voices you are likely to hear this side of the black Shag. They have been playing together since 2000, having garnered quite the following and entertained at various events and venues in NZ – from tiny Inch Bar (their local) in Dunedin to The Wunderbar in Christchurch and many many gigs in between. The Delgirls played at the Whitestone, and Whare Flat Folk Festivals to rapturous audiences and journeyed south to Gore last year taking out the busking trophy at the annual Gold Guitar Awards. Their new album is almost ready to be released and they have sold out of the “Live at The Wunderbar” EP released late 2006.

“Multi- talented and very able to hold together a distinctive sound,…beautiful harmonies, brilliant octave-leaps and intricate folk-like guitar. This was all set to a bass rhythm keeping the momentum, and use of snare as the glue for their sound.”
