Female vocalist first to sell out at Festival

MEDIA ALERT: For immediate release

Female vocalist first to sell out at Taranaki Arts Festival!

The term ‘Girl Power’ isn’t necessarily reserved for the five piece English pop band that have recently reformed. The strong female presence at this year’s Taranaki International Festival of the Arts has attracted many festival goers, with the majority of shows featuring women either sold out or have only a small number of tickets left.

The deep and sultry voice of Alda Rezende has proven very popular with Taranaki International Festival of the Arts audiences, her only performance at the festival sold out this afternoon. Currently dominating the album charts, New Zealand’s brightest female vocalist, Hollie Smith, has reached over 600 ticket sales for her performance at the festival. Ticket sales for The Burlesque Hour are also selling fast, the scintillating performance appealing to a wide audience.

With tickets to events rapidly changing hands, the best advice is to visit the festival’s website (www.artsfest.co.nz) for more information on show times and purchasing tickets.
