Rally New Zealand goes to the people
Rally New Zealand has gone retail to meet the demand when it hosts next month's 11th round of the FIA World Rally Championship.
The 38th Rally New Zealand, Round 11 of the 2007 FIA World Rally Championship, will be based in Hamilton, heading to the King Country, Waikato and Franklin districts from 30 August until 2 September.
Rally New Zealand have partnered with Repco to offer tickets, official merchandise and programmes in Repco stores.
This partnership brings Rally New Zealand full circle with the company that owns the Motogard brand that was the sponsor of the event from 1978 until 1982.
Tickets went on sale nationwide last Thursday with merchandise also available in a number of stores. The official programme including the official spectator maps will also be available on sale from all Repco stores at the start of August.
"Repco will be a one-stop shop so that people can see the official merchandise before the event, secure their tickets and the programme. In addition Repco will be offering the full range of tickets, merchandise and programmes for sale online through their association with www.ferrit.co.nz" said Paul Mallard, General Manager of Rally New Zealand.
"We are delighted to announce the association with Repco and believe this will help us take Rally New Zealand to motorsport fans throughout the country."
The launch of the Repco partnership also includes the release of the new 2007 event merchandise range with an exciting new look and a number of new items.
Glen Harter, the Category Manager for Apparel at Repco says "we are excited by the opportunity to partner Rally NZ in what is a very exciting event, we believe we are offering an excellent range of Apparel this year and with pre event Ticket sales and programmes exclusively available in all our stores we hope that the event receives the exposure it deserves".
