right behind the boys
Can't be in Europe for the Rugby World Cup but passionate about doing your bit to support the Boys in Black?
From today, All Black fans around the world can load up video clips, images or words of encouragement to a brand new website that delivers messages directly to the players.
Launched by Air New Zealand,
www.allblacksfanatics.com
Air New Zealand General Manager Marketing Steve Bayliss says the airline is right behind the All Blacks in their quest to bring the World Cup back to its rightful home.
"We know that there are millions of fans both here and around the world who want to make some noise for the boys too. www.allblacksfantics.com grew from our desire to provide fanatical fans with a fun, interactive way to virtually communicate with the players," he says.
"Traditionally supporters have sent letters or faxes to Kiwi sports teams but www.allblackfanatics.com gives rugby fans a great new way of personally demonstrating their passion for the team."
All Black squad members will regularly check the site while in France and reveal their favourite message at the end of the campaign.
NZRU Commercial Manager Fraser Holland said the site will provide an invaluable link for players to the fans.
"The All Blacks love getting messages of support from fans when they are away from home and this way they can jump online and read them. It's a fantastic concept from Air New Zealand which certainly connects the team with their fans all over the world," he said.
A range of messages from New Zealand celebrities will appear on the site from today, with many more to be added over the duration of the campaign.

"The enthusiasm and excitement on show from Kiwis in the lead up to the World Cup will soon reach fever pitch - we're delighted to be helping fans to get their messages right in front of the All Blacks," says Mr Bayliss.
