Bob Dylan To Play The Civic, The Edge®, In A Return Auckland Concert

THE EDGE® and Chugg Entertainment are delighted to announce that music legend Bob Dylan and his band will perform a further Auckland concert on 26 August at Auckland’s magnificent theatre, The Civic, THE EDGE®.

Dylan is about to commence a tour of major arena shows throughout Australia and New Zealand, but this special performance will be the only theatre show in this part of the world during the tour.

“Dylan is one of contemporary music’s most influential artists, and the chance to present him and his music in the intimacy and splendour of The Civic will ensure an extraordinary experience for both the fans and the performers,” said THE EDGE® chief executive Greg Innes.

Dylan plays The Civic following a renewed creative surge over recent years that has included number one albums, a major film documentary, and his autobiography. His most recent album, Modern Times, has been greeted with wide critical appreciation, and his “Never Ending Tour” has seen audiences spanning all generations across all continents enjoy an eclectic selection of his material culled from more than 40 years of music making.

Demand has seen both the Wellington and Auckland arena concerts sell out. The opportunity to see Bob Dylan play The Civic is one that simply cannot be missed. His influence on music and popular culture since his 1963’s breakthrough album Freewheelin' Bob Dylan right through till today has been remarkable, and these shows will be memorable.

Don’t risk missing out!

The Civic, THE EDGE®, Sunday 26 August.
