More Winners With Lotto
For twenty years Lotto has been making dreams come true, and tonight players in Kaeo, Waitakere and Birkdale, Auckland, have joined the First Division winners' club by winning $333,333 each, says NZ Lotteries' Chief Executive, Todd McLeay.
The winning tickets were purchased at Kaeo Four Square in Kaeo, Westside Superette in Waitakere and Don's Food Market in Birkdale, Auckland.
"The very first Lotto draw was held on 1 August 1987, and since then 3,603 New Zealanders have won Lotto First Division," says Mr McLeay.
"And tonight, another three people can now say they've joined the Lotto winners' club!"
Powerball has jackpotted and will be worth an estimated $5 million in next week's draw.
Strike Four has also jackpotted tonight to an estimated $200,000 in next week's draw.
Tonight's other big winner was Nicole Adam from Carterton who spun Lotto's Winning Wheel and won $200,000.
Nicole is completing a degree in Early Childhood Studies at Victoria University and has recently completed a house extension, so her winnings will come in very handy.
As part of her prize, Nicole and her partner enjoyed a luxury stay at the Duxton Hotel in Wellington, a shopping trip with a stylist for an outfit to wear on the show, and lunch with Lotto presenter Kylee King Turner, leading up to their winning spin.
All Lotto players are automatically in the draw to win the opportunity to spin Lotto's Winning Wheel, regardless of the type of ticket they buy. Players can check their ticket at any lottery outlet.
Tonight's Winning Wheel ticket was sold by Massey Pharmacy, also in Waitakere, Auckland. The serial number is 705-58439179-20XX.
"Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above winning stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any NZ Lotteries outlet," Mr McLeay says.
