Jackpots Galore
Media release
Lotto, Powerball and Strike have all jackpotted this weekend with $3.7 million now up for grabs in next weekend's draw says NZ Lotteries' Chief Executive, Todd McLeay.
Due to jackpotting, next weekend, Lotto will be worth an estimated $2 million, Powerball will be worth an estimated $1.5 million and Strike an estimated $200,000.
"It's not often that all of the Lotto family games jackpot together, so next weekend's draw will be a special chance for our players to win even bigger prizes," said Mr McLeay.
Tonight's big winner was Gail Ashcroft from Omokoroa, who has a big smile on her face after winning a $100,000 home upgrade live on Lotto's Winning Wheel,
Gail comes from a very close family, and is one of five sisters. Two of her sisters travelled from Tauranga to Wellington to support her spin.
As part of her prize, Gail and her husband Revell, enjoyed a luxury stay at the Duxton Hotel in Wellington, a shopping trip with a stylist for an outfit to wear on the show, and lunch with Hilary Timmins, leading up to her winning spin.
All Lotto players are automatically in the draw to win the opportunity to spin Lotto's Winning Wheel, regardless of the type of ticket they buy. Players should write their names on the back of their tickets and check them at any lottery outlet.
Tonight's Winning Wheel
ticket was sold by Lytton West Post and Lotto, Gisborne.
The serial number is 733-50297661-20XX.
"Anyone who bought their ticket from Lytton West Post and Lotto, Gisborne. should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any NZ Lotteries outlet," Mr McLeay says.
