KIDS 24 HOURS-Deadline theatre is a truly unique theatrical experience. 24 hours before the performance, five of Auckland’s hottest playwrights will be given a mystery prop and a separate envelope containing photos of three of Auckland’s leading actors. When the 12 hours are up, the playwrights will pass on their scripts to the selected five professional directors and their teams of three actors, who then have 12 hours to rehearse the new plays. At the end of 24 Hours the lights will go up on the stage at the Herald Theatre to an audience who will be presented with five of the hottest, freshest new plays for Kids (6-10 years old) ever seen in Auckland.
