Second Big Wednesday Jackpot This Month

Second Big Wednesday Jackpot This Month

For the second time in October, Big Wednesday First Division has been struck, netting the winner $2 million plus an Aston Martin Vantage, an Audi Q7 and $250,000 loaded onto an American Express Platinum card, says NZ Lotteries' Chief Executive, Todd McLeay.

The winning ticket was sold at United Video in Gore and has won a total Big Wednesday First Division prize package valued at $2,609,615.

"This is a fantastic win for our Big Wednesday player in Gore and the ultimate lifestyle is certainly on its way to them," adds Mr McLeay.

"Over $10 million has been won on Big Wednesday in the same month, that's a pretty incredible figure," said Mr McLeay.

Two weeks ago, a ticket sold at Paper Plus in Taupo won $7.7 million, the fourth largest Big Wednesday prize in the game's history.

Mr McLeay's advice for this week's Big Wednesday winner is to write their name and address on their ticket, confirming ownership.

"They should then contact NZ Lotteries' Wellington office on (04) 802 7000, and we can provide advice about the next steps to take," he says.

Every ticket bought for tonight's draw was entered in the Second Chance draw. The prize won was determined by the H or T selection on the first line of the ticket. As the ticket selection did not match the coin toss of the draw, the ticket holder has won an $25,000 cash.

The winning ticket was sold at New World Whangamata in Whangamata and the winning serial number is 778-25755655-13XX.

"Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above retailers should check it immediately," says Mr McLeay.
