The ‘V’ FREE Block Party

MEDIA RELEASE 9 November 2007

The ‘V’ FREE Block Party featuring The Midnight Juggernauts and Pig Out!

The People’s Republic of ‘V’ is excited to announce for the first time ever the ‘V’ Block Party headlined by meteoric Australian trio The Midnight Juggernauts with support from our very own electronic hipsters, Christchurch based Pig Out!

The ‘V’ Block Party is a free outdoor event, situated in the centre of Britomart Square precinct on Wednesday 12th December from 7.30pm.

Hot off the heels of their newly released album Dystopia, the Juggernauts fly into NZ for a one off exclusive gig, shaking off jet lag from a US Tour and sold out gigs throughout Australia. Imagine David Bowie piloting a spaceship bound for Daft Punk’s home planet - if you can, then you get the idea.
This is going to be one MASSIVE party in the streets

Sign up to www.vrepublic.co.nz and come along to the Block Party for free plus you could win loads of great prizes on the night. It’s free to join and members will be able to benefit with cheap ‘V’ throughout the hot summer months as well as loads of other cool events and general shenanigans.

What’s the catch? There is no catch. The good people at ‘V’ felt like it was high time to get amongst it and let their hair down by celebrating good music with ‘V’.

So check out www.vrepublic.co.nz for more details on the ‘V’ Block Party and join up to be in to win.

The People’s Republic of ‘V’ - it’s whatever YOU make it!
