How many sleeps till the last big day out line-up announcement?
Or “it’s time for a game of Big Day Out hangman!”

Everyone wants to know… How many more bands? Is there one beginning with L? When are you gonna tell us? When? When? When?

Ladeeez and gennulmen! There will be ONE more line-up announcement for the Auckland Big Day Out and that announcement will be made at

8am on Wednesday 21 November

And on that day we will tell you the names of the 40 more artists joining our already bumper line-up for Friday 18 January 2008.

“The Big Day Out circus is complete – from Dizzee Rascal’s rhymes like a vocal trapeze to Bjork’s herd of elephant beats. I’m a ringmaster and I have red trousers!” cried Campbell Smith, promoter of the Auckland event.

In past, yes, the process has been streeeetched out to a pre-xmas 3rd announcement but as we already know the line-up in full and we’ve sold most of the tickets and we want to win the game of hangman that we’ve got going on with the guys from the bar over the road, let’s crack on with it.

Here’s an international act that are playing at the Big Day Out (we’ll tell you who it is next Wednesday)….
