Lotto and Powerball have jackpotted, with a whopping $10 million in top prizes up for grabs in next weekend's draw says NZ Lotteries' Chief Executive, Todd McLeay.

Due to jackpotting, next weekend, Lotto will be worth an estimated $2 million, and Powerball will be worth an estimated $8 million.

"We love being able to offer New Zealanders great prizes and when two big games jackpot it's double prize bonanza for our players. What a great Christmas that would bring," says Mr McLeay.

Strike Four was won tonight by two lucky players who purchased their tickets at Kwiki Mart Kelston in Waitakere and Melodys New World in Palmerston North, winning $69,422 each.

Tonight's other big winner was Brian Brewer, a retired accountant from Auckland who spun Lotto's Winning Wheel and won $100,000.

As part of his prize, Brian and his wife Katherine enjoyed a luxury stay at the Duxton Hotel in Wellington, a shopping trip with a stylist for an outfit to wear on the show, and lunch with Lotto presenter, Kyllee King-Turner. He hopes to use some of his winnings taking a holiday cruise.

All Lotto players are automatically in the draw to win the opportunity to spin Lotto's Winning Wheel, regardless of the type of ticket they buy. Players can check their ticket at any lottery outlet.

Tonight's Winning Wheel ticket was sold by Plaza Lotto in Palmerston North. The serial number is 828-06521606-20XX

"Anyone who bought their ticket from any of these winning stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any NZ Lotteries outlet," Mr McLeay says.
