SKYCITY Theatre and PCACE proudly present the awe inspiring Shaolin Monks performing two New Zealand shows exclusively at SKYCITY Theatre.

The stunning show is a unique opportunity to experience the magical culture and amazing skill of 25 dedicated Gong Fu masters.

The special performance, created in celebration of the Chines Lunar New Year, the year of the rat, examines traditions of peace, harmony and spirituality forged through years of struggle, invasion and war, which led the Shaolin to create a unique form of martial art.

The name Shaolin has become synonymous with the finest and most extraordinary feats of discipline, strength and courage and with the growth in popularity of modern Kung Fu, the reputation of the Shaolin Monks has become established throughout the world.

The 100-mintue long breathtaking performance builds to a crescendo of kung-fu sequences as the Shaolin Monks are lifted aloft on sharpened spears, splinter wooden blocks with their bare hands, break bricks on their heads and fly through the air in a series of incredible back flips and spins.

The Shaolin Monks have travelled all the way from the Shaolin Temple in China to demonstrate their martial arts expertise. This spectacular show is not to be missed.

Shaolin Monks are coming to SKYCITY on 7 and 8 February 2008, 8.00pm. Tickets available from Ticketek. Premium $88, A Reserve $66, B Reserve $48.
