Shrek the Third and Tweenies Stars of 165th Royal Easter Show
A touch of Hollywood royalty features in this year’s Royal Easter Show, with Princess Fiona and her Shrek the Third co-stars amongst the line-up at the 165th annual Auckland event.
Making her first appearance in New Zealand, Princess Fiona is joined by Donkey, Puss In Boots and of course Shrek in a live show version of the Dreamworks’ animated hit movie. Exclusive to the Royal Easter Show, the Shrek the Third stars feature in an all-singing, all-dancing musical adventure with the voices of Cameron Diaz, Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy and Antonio Banderas.
International smash hit the BBC children’s series The Tweenies also gets top billing in its very own live stage show which features all four - Tweenies, Bella, Milo, Fizz and Jake - and the unique Tweenies Activity Clock with full ‘animatronics’.

The Cadbury Crème Egg Circus EGGstravaganza is back with the premier of an all-new circus spectacular Out of Africa. A troop of African performers together with internationally acclaimed acts from across the globe create a breathtaking circus performance like no other.
Circus acts of skill, balance and speed, mix with aerial performers and magic that will leave you spellbound. From African comedians to Mongolian balance artists, Out of Africa is international, vibrant and incredibly exciting.
Prepare to be thrilled by the Kiwi Lumberjacks as they battle it out in a new action-packed show, an old-style lumberjack competition complete with razor sharp axes, big cross cut saws, fast chainsaws and log-rolling on water.
All the old favourites remain including the ever-popular carnival, street entertainers, The Great Cadbury Bunny Show, Royal Easter Cat Show, New Zealand’s art show and competition the Royal Easter Show Art Awards, A&P Competitions, Lion Foundation Royal Easter Show Shears, and ASB Farm Zone where kids can get up close to learn about farm animals.

Family passes are great value at $36 for a family of two adults and up to three children, with adults $16, senior citizens $11, children $6 and under-2s for free. All shows and attractions are included in the entry price, excluding carnival rides.
