Newly Selected TOWER New Zealand Youth Choir

Newly Selected TOWER New Zealand Youth Choir

Taupo Concert, 13th February
Hastings Concert 15th February

Surround yourself with vocal harmonies, dynamic subtleties and the fresh-faced inspiration of young potential. The 2008-2010 TOWER New Zealand Youth Choir will be presenting concerts in Taupo and Hastings as part of their first intensive training course together.

The course will be held in Taupo from 9th – 13th February, culminating in their first concert on the evening of 13th February at St Patrick’s Church. They will be presenting a range of New Zealand and international repertoire, led by their Artistic Director, Dr Karen Grylls.

Choir members, all recently auditioned, will have travelled from all over the country to rehearse in Taupo. While there, a schools workshop with music students from Taupo colleges will be held at Taupo-nui-a-Tia College, giving younger singers a chance to rub shoulders with the TOWER New Zealand Youth Choir and work on their own vocal techniques with guidance from Dr Grylls.

Concert Venue: St Patricks Church, 88 Acacia Bay Road, Taupo
Time: 8pm, Wednesday 13 February

After this concert the Youth Choir will travel to Hastings to present a concert at St Matthew’s Church.

Concert Venue: St Matthews Church, 200 King St, Hastings
Time: 7.30pm, Friday 15 February

Tickets for both concerts will be available at the door, cash or cheque only. $25 Adults, $20 Concessions, $10 Students
