Nickelodeon Kids Comedy Season
Press release:
Nickelodeon NZ present’s
the Nickelodeon Kids Comedy Season as part of the 2008 New
Zealand International Comedy Festival.
Kiwi kid’s entertainment authority Nickelodeon is joining forces with the New Zealand International Comedy Festival this year for the launch of the first ever Nickelodeon Kids Comedy Season as part of the wider 2008 International Comedy Festival. The season will run throughout the school holidays, from Tuesday 22 April – Sunday 4th May at the Herald Theatre in Auckland.
The Nickelodeon Kids Comedy Season is aimed at 6-12 year olds and will feature a collection of comedy shows tailored for kids from all around the world. Don’t miss the following great shows:
Little Howard and the Magic Pencil of Life and Death. Featuring ‘Little Howard’ an animated six year old who is projected on screen, the show’s cast also includes UK Comedian Howard Read as ‘Big Howard’.
Men of Steel, a show about three mad chefs who encourage kids to play with their food and generally misbehave in the kitchen.
And Stand Up For Kids will feature performances from local and international comedians who are keen to dispel the theory that their works are for mature audiences only. See them show their true genius and put their jokes to the test with younger audiences.
The Nick TV crew will also be on hand during the Kids season to film kids doing ‘shout-outs’ to their friends and telling their funniest joke to camera. Plus keep an eye out for SpongeBob SquarePants who will be leaving the murky depths of Bikini Bottom to meet kids and check out what all the comedic commotion on dry land is about!
