Competition
The 50th birthday of the LEGO brick in
2008 has certainly been a great reason for the LEGO Group to
celebrate. Just one example of the companies success over
the years was before the turn of the millennium the LEGO
brick was voted "Toy of the Century", one of the highest
awards in the toy industry, by both Fortune Magazine in the
US and the British Association of Toy Retailers.
LEGO NZ is now set to celebrate again with April 1st the beginning of another successful LEGO venture, The National LEGO Building Competition run annually through Toyworld Stores. LEGO fans are given the opportunity to build the creation of their dreams, and compete to win fantastic prizes!
Incorporating LEGO into the prize The National LEGO Building Champion 2008 will be jetting off to LEGOLAND® California, with airfares, accommodation and spending money all included for 2 adults and 2 children. LEGOLAND® brings out the hero in everyone and with more than 50 super rides, shows and attractions there's fun for everyone, including even the youngest guest.
Entry into the competition is easy! Entrants simply need to build the model of their dreams, take a photo of their creation and deliver their entry with their details written on the back to their local Toyworld store where they will be on display until the close of the competition.
All entries receive a FREE LEGO Club membership which includes a quarterly magazine with regular bonus inserts of exclusive member specials, posters, stickers and even a member’s only trendy wrist band!
Following the closing date a creation from each store is selected and the winner given $50rrp LEGO set, the winning store entries are submitted to compete for the title of National LEGO Building Champion 2008.
