Perpetual Partnership To Honour Patrons

The Arts Foundation welcomes Perpetual Trust to its family of sponsors. As a company with over 120 years experience in managing charitable trusts, Perpetual are an excellent Presenting Sponsor of the Arts Foundation of New Zealand Award for Patronage.

The Award for Patronage honours philanthropists whose commitments to the arts are significant. The inaugural recipients were Dennis and Verna Adam, followed by Jenny Gibbs last year. This year’s recipient is announced on 29 May at Government House, Wellington. As with previous years, the Foundation is providing the Award recipients with $20,000 to distribute to arts projects or artists of their choosing. At the Award ceremony we will learn how the recipients have chosen to distribute the donation.

“I am delighted to welcome Perpetual to the team”, said Ros Burdon Arts Foundation Chairman. “Perpetual’s commitment to the charitable sector makes them a perfect partner for the Arts Foundation and their sponsorship increases the honour of the Award for Patronage”.

“Perpetual Trust is proud to be associated with the Arts Foundation and to be celebrating philanthropy”, said Louise Edwards, Chief Executive Officer, Perpetual Trust. “The Foundation is unique in that it honours both highest achievers in the arts and also those that are part of the arts community as supporters. The value placed in both parties reflects Perpetual’s commitment to helping people achieve their philanthropic aims whist providing real benefits to the community”.
