EziBuy Celebrates Its Birthday With A Gift To The Salvation Army
EziBuy’s 30th birthday celebrations will bring relief to a number of low-income families throughout New Zealand.
In recognition of its anniversary, EziBuy, Australasia’s largest multi-channel retailer, is donating $30,000 worth of clothing and homeware to The Salvation Army.
Salvation Army Corporate Appeal Director Major Jeff Winterburn says with the onset of winter this gift couldn’t have come at a better time.
“We are absolutely thrilled to be the recipients of such a generous donation. Winter is a time when families are faced with decisions like whether to pay their bills, heat their homes or feed and clothe their family,” he says.
“This generous gift will make a tremendous difference to the lives of New Zealand families who are currently being squeezed by the difficult economic situation. By providing these families with clothing and bedding they will be able to make their limited finances go further."
EziBuy Chief Executive Mary Devine says the company is pleased to be able to do something positive for New Zealanders in need.
“We are only too aware that life is becoming increasingly difficult for low-income families around the country,” she says.
“Our donation to The Salvation Army will ensure that clothing and bedding will reach those families who need it most."
Mary Devine adds, “EziBuy was built on family values so it’s fitting to be giving something back to an organisation that also recognises the importance of the family by helping those that are less fortunate."
