From the promoter, about Charlie ASH: 'It's dance, it'spunk, it's rock, it's fun! Charlie ASH set about to do things their ownway, and in doing so have created live set and sound that'sinternationally original. Three years ago Charlie ASH burst fromrehearsal space to lead the stampede of bands that reinvented theWellington gig scene. The current and perfect line-up features the twooriginal punkettes Mailee Mathews and Rosie Riggir, and guitarist Dave Kahn, and drummer Ben Michelson.
The band's exploding creativity has produced NZ's first 3-D video Ah-hA (directed by Ed Davis), and an award-winning musical (BOX). The O'Babyvideo (directed by Sally Tran), won the DIY Music Video Competition'Handle The Jandal (overall and best concept '06)' and the Couldn'tCouldn't video (directed by Ed Davis) was selected by NME TV.'
