‘The Music is Bond… James Bond’ is set to take over the Aotea Centre in Auckland on November 22. This stunning concert, featuring five of our most talented performers -- will showcase the hit songs and music from 45 fabulous years of iconic James Bond films.
From 1962’s Dr No through to 2008’s Quantum of Solace, the songlist spans the generations, including the James Bond Theme to songs such as Goldfinger, From Russia With Love, Live and Let Die, For Your Eyes Only and The Spy Who Loved me.

Featuring a stunning line up of vocalists and 20 piece orchestra, this brilliant show will pay homage to some of the world’s leading artists to have performed the Bond hits including Shirley Bassey, Tina Turner, Tom Jones, and most recently Alicia Keys.
The show’s producer, Tim Beveridge says he’s always been a fan of the Bond films and the show has taken months of planning and selecting the right performers to make it work.
“Every New Zealander would be familiar with the iconic Bond songs such as Goldfinger, From Russia with Love and Live and Let Die. They span generations and I’m sure everyone will have their favourites,” says Beveridge.
Many were successful hits in their day with some nominated for Academy Awards.
November sees the release of the latest of the latest James Bond Film Quantum of Solace.
Tim has assembled a top line up of NZ’s most talented and versatile vocalists in the form of Tina cross, Taisha, (both of Ladykillers fame), jazz siren Caitlin Smith and newcomer Rebecca Wright.
The show’s musical arranger is Mark Dennison who has worked with a bevy of international stars including Shirley Bassey who recorded Goldfinger from the 1964 Bond film of the same title.
For fans of the Bond films it will be a perfect night of entertainment to leave them shaken, if not a little stirred...

Tina Cross
Tina Cross is a pop
princess turned musical theatre star at the very top of her
game. As a recording artist, Tina conquered the charts on
both sides of the Tasman. As an entertainer she’s worked
in New Zealand, Australia, the UK, Asia and the USA and
appeared with Sammy Davis Jnr, Tom Jones and Meatloaf
amongst others.
In musical theatre Ms Cross has
triumphed in lead roles in Chicago, Once Were Warriors,
Boogie Nights, The Rocky Horror Show, Cats and the
Australian production of Sisterella. The critics sum it up:
“magnificent and mesmerizing’ (The Age,
Melbourne).
Most recently Tina received the ONZM and
appeared as a contestant on Dancing With The Stars 2008.
Caitlin Smith
One reviewer said that
Caitlin Smith has a voice that 'the imagination created'.
Smith has sung in a multitude of settings, residencies and
festivals with her highly acclaimed Jazz/lounge trio The
Fondue Set and more recently with The Caitlin Smith Trio.
Always with the most accomplished and well respected
musicians.
Her last CD of original material, The Caitlin
Smith Group's 'Aurere, is US-based CDBaby's editor's pick
and has graced Air New Zealand's inflight airwaves since
it's release.
A highly acclaimed songwriter, she is also
a consultant to professional voice users and has vocal
coached many of our country's finest singers.

Taisha
Taisha is one of New Zealand’s
leading session singers; and has worked with some of the
world’s leading artists and musicians. Most recently
Taisha joined forces with NZ’s leading female singers
Jackie Clarke, Susan Lynch, and Tina Cross, to form The
“Lady Killers”. Who have performed throughout NZ.
Recently Taisha was Lead Singer on “Dancing with the
Stars”.

Jackie Clarke, Suzanne Lynch and Taisha in the LadyKillers.
Rebecca Wright
Becks Wright is a
relative new comer to the music scene having recently
returned from undertaking musical theatre training in London
She has appeared as a soloist in Christmas in the Park, and
was as a finalist on the first series of NZ Idol. Becks
performs with various corporate cover groups around New
Zealand and is currently forging her way into the musical
theatre scene having already many productions under her
belt.
Tim Beveridge
Tim Beveridge is both
producer and performer in this fabulous show.
Tim, whose
name has become synonymous with swing in New Zealand since
he abandoned a life as a lawyer over a decade ago to pursue
his dream of being a professional musician. Not only is he
living his dream, he's also doing it by creating and
producing his own shows - an area very few performers dare
to venture.
Tim has successfully produced concerts at
major venues in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch – in
particular Auckland’s Town Hall and Aotea Centre,
Wellington’s Opera house and the Christchurch Town Hall as
well many outdoor festivals and concerts.
As a performer
his career highlights include the role of the Phantom of the
Opera in Andrew Lloyd Webbers The Phantom of the Opera at
the age of 29 - the youngest ever to play the role. He was
also voted by the BBC Voice of Musical Theatre as one of the
top voices in the world in two successive events.
He has
formed a strong alliance with music legend Russ Garcia who
has worked with some of the biggest names in Hollywood
showbiz including Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald. Most
recently he had commercial success with his production of
"VEGAS" - a stage tribute to the era of swing staged this
year at Auckland’s Aotea centre.
Tim has recorded
three albums, SINGER with the NZSO, Come Rain Come
Shine with Hollywood’s Buddy Childers Big Band and
most recently a Live in Concert Album with Russ
Garcia and the Auckland Neophonic Jazz Orchestra recorded
live at the Auckland Town Hall.
He has a 100% success
rate in test match anthems - Has sung seven national anthems
for the All Blacks – for seven victories (although he says
he obviously cannot claim credit…)
