Street Dance New Zealand Presents 'Dream 08 Showcase'!


A collection of New Zealand's finest street dancers will showcase their talents at the Telstra Clear Pacific Arena, Manukau City on November 22, 2008.

'Dream 08 Showcase' will be a celebration of the skill and achievements of top
New Zealand street dance crews who have achieved national and international success.

The dance extravaganza will feature 160 dancers including 2008 World Champions from Auckland 'Sweet and Sour', Wellington World Finalists 'Legacy', Rotorua 2007 World Bronze Medalists 'Fearless', Hamilton 2008 World Bronze Medalists 'FDC Supremacy' and National Junior Champions 'Dejavu'.

The showcase will also pay tribute to individual dancers and dance crews with a Street Dance New Zealand ‘Dream 08’ Awards presentation at the end of the night.

Street Dance New Zealand Director Ennaolla Paea says that this year's showcase is a celebration of New Zealand's finest dancers that is set to inspire and engage.

“I am particularly looking forward to the 'Dream 08' Awards which will be presented to our most highly commended performers and pioneers of Street Dance in Aotearoa.”

The Street Dance New Zealand 'Dream 08' Awards will honour dance crews and individual dancers with awards for Best Dance Crew, Best Newcomer Crew, Service to Street Dance, and the Legend of Street Dance Award.

The 'Dream 08 Showcase' starts at 8pm on November 22 and tickets are available from www.ticketdirect.co.nz or 0800 TICKET. Tickets are $20 each, or $15 each for a group of 10 or more.
