First Ever
Post-Season Pass Sale Proving Popular With Kiwis
- One week left to purchase a Mt Ruapehu season pass-
Mt
Ruapehu’s first post-season pass sale is proving a winner
with ski and snowboarding enthusiasts, who have been quick
to take up this unique opportunity
So far Snovember sales of the 2009 season passes have been solid and Mt Ruapehu marketing manager, Mike Smith says he is confident the interest will continue to build this week as the sale finishes on 30 November.
“We’ve been really pleased with sales of the 2009 season pass this last week. Kiwis have embraced this post-season sale concept, which is quite rare in this country,” says Mr Smith. “At only $350 for adults, it’s a really good price point.”
Mt Ruapehu marketing manager, Mike Smith says ski areas in North America have been selling next season’s passes at the end of the current season for quite some time.
Mt Ruapehu’s Season Pass offers unlimited skiing for the entire 2009 season and will cost $350 for adults and $180 for youths (aged 18 and under). These prices are significantly below the 2008 rates of $409 for an adult and $239 for a youth.
“It’s a good time of year to purchase a 2009 season pass with Christmas only a month away, and we’re coming off the back of a record season. Turoa experienced a first-ever snow-base of 5m, and a record-breaking 200,000 visitors – this year’s been an exceptional season.”
2009 Mt Ruapehu Season Passes can be purchased online at www.mtruapehu.com, or by phoning 0508 Ruapehu (782 734) from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday until 30 November 2008. The rates for all phone and mail sales will be an additional $10, and there will be no student rate.
