The Sallies’ first ever Christmas CD - “It’s a Wrap” – will be available for a $5 donation at all Countdown, Foodtown and Woolworths supermarkets until Christmas Day. The CD will be launched at events today and tomorrow.
The CD includes carols and contemporary Christmas songs in various styles (including Jazz, Big Band, and A Capella), and features the incredible Musical Island Boys – Porirua’s world champion barbershop quartet.

Up to 20 singers and musicians will perform at Tuesday’s Porirua launch. Singers using backing tracks will spread their Christmas cheer Wednesday at Auckland supermarkets. The public is invited to all four launches. It’s all to help the Sallies help Kiwis in need!
“At what should be the most joyous time of the year, we see demand for our services such as crisis accommodation, food parcels, clothing and counselling increase by 20% as thousands of New Zealanders and their families struggle to get through the holidays. For just a $5 donation, shoppers can make a wonderful contribution to the Sallies and get a great Christmas gift for someone they love,” says the Salvation Army’s Territorial Public Relations Secretary, Major Robert Ross.
The CDs will be available at the
checkout counters in Countdown, Foodtown and Woolworths
supermarkets while stocks last. All proceeds will go toward
The Salvation Army’s outstanding work in our communities.
